Early South Gate manufactured Weatherby rifle, serial #562, on Mauser type action, made for our consignor in Roy Weatherby’s garage. The rifle shows a good quality custom checkered walnut stock with classic earlyWeatherby styling. Jaeger trigger, quick-detachable studs for sling swivels. Mounted with Leupold 3x9 variable scope. High polish blued action. Originally built in .257 Weatherby mag, now rebarreled to 7mmRemington mag. The condition is fine to excellent. Includes the original Weatherby chrome bore marked barrel (.257 Weatherby magnum caliber), serial numbered to match. The rifle is of fairly small proportions,measuring 12-5/8” to the end of the wood, 13-3/4” to the end of the pad (made for someone 5’9” or less). A classic and collectible rifle. Est: $700 - $1,400
