Early Scottish style dagger with spear point and scalloped top edge along with a classic rounded grip circa 18th century or earlier. The blade shows a small “M” stamp which would be the blade maker’s mark. The metal surfaces remain in goodcondition with some normal pitting and erosion with some slight darkening and aging. The condition is at least very good and the blade is its full original dimensions. The grip is in very good condition with some slight cracking andnormal aging. Many collectors feel that these Scottish blades were the Grandfathers of the American Bowie knife. Est.: $400-$800
