Early Production U.S. Remington-Rand Model 1911A1 Semi-Automatic Pistol
Blade front and notch rear sights, with the left side of the slide marked "REMINGTON RAND INC./ SYRACUSE, NEW YORK" in the early style. The left side of the frame has the "FJA" inspection mark over "P", with the right showing an upside-down Ordnance stamp, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M1911A1 U.S.ARMY" next to the "No" style serial number. Equipped with a Springfield barrel, checkered thin hammer, milled trigger, long grip safety and checkered arched mainspring housing. Grips are early style Keyes Fiber with internal ribbing. On either side of the slide near the muzzle is a small dent, which the consignor states is the result of Rockwell hardness tests.

Condition: Completely refinished, showing 95% of the current dark gray parkerization, with scattered pitting and mild handling marks. The blue components show some bright wear along with areas of brown patina. Grips are very good, with mild pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
