The right side of the slide is marked with the two line caliber marking behind the ejection port and "MODEL 1902" in front of it. Fitted with checkered Rampant Colt and "COLT" in a banner embossed grips. The base of the magazine has the 1884 patent date. On page 180 of THE GOVERNMENT MODELS by W.H.P. Fine. The pistol retains approximately 50% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina with a few patches minor pitting on the left side of the slide and frame at the rear and on the hammer. The grip straps have a mottled gray patina with limited pin prick pitting on the backstrap. There is some scattered minor spotting. The grips are very fine with some scattered minor nicks in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
