Early Post World War I 1918 Dated German Weimar Police Rework Luger Pistol Rig with Matching Magazine

This is an example of a late WWI 1914 model, Erfurt Arsenal Luger that was subsequently reworked in the 1920s for the Weimar Police. The chamber is dated 1918, with the front toggle marked with the "Crown / ERFURT" logo. The right side of the barrel extension is stamped with three crown over a German Script letter proofs next to the Imperial Eagle proof. The left side of the barrel is stamped with a the "Crown/RC" proof next to an early Eagle/33 Simson proof with a Simson Eagle firing proof on the underside, next to the serial number and the bore diameter marking. The various parts are all correctly marked with the last two digits of the serial number along with a Crown/Script letter proof on many of the parts. Correct military style numbering with the full serial number on the major components with the last two digits on the small parts. The Police spring bar is on top of the side plate. It has the fixed standard sights and is fitted with one nickel plated magazine with the aluminum base that is marked: "1/8054". It is complete with an early all brown leather holster that is marked on the back side: "JULIUS SCHLOSS/BERLIN.O.17/1915". The back of the holster has been correctly modified by the addition of a single "D" ring in between the belt loops for use with a shoulder strap, typically of what was used by Police in the Weimar era.

Very fine with 90% of the arsenal refurbished blue finish overall, with 10% of the straw colors on the smaller parts. The grips are very good with minor handling marks overall. The holster is very good with a nice medium brown color overall, and minor scuffing and scratches on the face of the holster.
