Early Nazi Era "Sneak" Police Luger Pistol

This is a very early 1933, Nazi era Police Luger. These are typically termed sneak lugers based on the lack of any identifying manufactures markings and proofmarks, which the Nazis did to disguise their early rearmament efforts. This example has the blank chamber, and front toggle assembly. There are no proofmarks on the right side of the barrel extension and the left side has only the serial number and "crown/N" commercial proofs which is also duplicated on the breechblock. The underside of the barrel has a small partial Simson Eagle rework proof, with the intertwined "TP" police proof below the serial number. It has the standard extractor and safety markings with the side plate has been correctly modified by the addition of the sear safety bar. It has checkered walnut grips, and is complete with one matching magazine, that has an unmarked magazine body with an aluminum base. The base is marked "1/7569/Eagle Police" proof.

Very fine with 98% of the rust blue finish remaining with excellent walnut grips, showing no visible handling marks. Straw colors are brilliant. A really nice early pre-WWII Nazi Police luger pistol.
