Collected from across Indonesia, these have a close association with the early travels of the Phoenicians who first arrived from the Middle East into the Spice Islands about 300 BC. Some of these are known as Roman Glass and Phoenician Glass Mosaic Beads, while others are of Chinese Silk Road Trade (all from the 500BC-500AD Period),...and still others from the nascent Glass-Making industry that was formed in Java and Sumatra during the Hindu/Buddhist influx (6th-9thC. AD). To build such an ancient collection (which I will identify bead-by-bead for a purchaser) would take hundreds of hours of searching, possibly a lot of travel, and at least as much money as is asked for this Lot here. These and similar will be included in my future book on the Ancient Beads of China and SE Asia.
