Early Model Colt Second Generation Single Action Army Revolver
Manufactured in 1958, the second year of post war Single Action Army production. One line address on top of the barrel, the left side marked "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .44 SPECIAL". The left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent date marking followed by the un-circled Rampant Colt. The left front of the trigger guard is marked with the Colt "VP" triangle proof, the rear is marked "J" and the right front is marked with a "5". The matching serial number is marked on the frame and under the grip on the left side of the front and backstraps. The frame is casehardened and remaining parts are blue with polished hammer sides. The revolver is fitted with black checkered two piece grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the tops.

Condition: Excellent with exceptions noted below. The revolver retains 99% original blue finish with some very minor wear on the muzzle, a minor drag line on the cylinder and overall a few scattered minor dings and scratches. The frame retains all of the original bright case colors. The grips are excellent with light handling marks and sharp checkering. Missing ejector rod and spring. Mechanically needs work as the cylinder spins freely.
