Lot of three 1950's letters from the CBS network regarding Captain Kangaroo: (1) typed letter signed from CBS President J.L. Van Volkenburg congratulating Keeshan on his best children's show performer Billboard award: ''…no one came close to you. This is as it should be…'' 1pp. dated 5 July 1956 on CBS letterhead measures 7.25'' x 10.5''; (2) typed letter signed on 19 March 1958 from CBS President Louis G. Cowan thanking Keeshan for his thoughtful note, with additional penned note congratulating Keeshan on winning a prize. 1pp. on CBS letterhead measures 7.25'' x 10.5''; (3) typed letter signed from CBS President Frank Stanton to Gene Shalit thanking him for a newspaper article on Captain Kangaroo: ''…We continue to be proud of the fine program Bob Keeshan brings to the youngsters…'' 1pp. on CBS letterhead dated 31 March 1959. Measures 6'' x 8''. Toning to all letters, most notably to the 1956 letter. Overall very good.
