Offered in his lot we have a collection of EWR gold filled and turquoise hat pins originating from the 1800's. The collection consists of ten hat pins, seven showing Turquoise Mountain, two with Carico Lake turquoise, and one showing sleeping beauty turquoise. The hair pins show gold filled construction with a turquoise cabochon set into the end. The hat pins each come with the original sales sleeve. Most of the sleeves are marked "EWR Gold Filled". The collection shows good condition overall with some light wear across the pieces. The collection weights a total of .65 oz with the longest of the hat pins measures 3" long. Provenance: From a New York City jewelry store that operated from the 1800's (19th Century) until its closing in 1920. The contents were attic stored until their sale in 2019 in Wyoming. These pins have been valued at approximately $150-$200 per pin (for a total of $1500 to $2000 for the entire set of 10).
