Early German Military P.08 Luger, #1198, 9mm, 4'' barrel, blue and straw finish, factory checkered walnut grips, with one unmarked tin-plated magazine. Early frame lacks stock lug. Blank chamber markings, DWM marked toggle link, early font ''Gesichert'' to thumb safety, front strap marked ''B.3.RMG.75'', leading us to believe that this pistol was attached to a machinegun regiment in the WWI era. Although all markings appear correct and matching for this era, the un-suffixed serial number seems a somewhat smaller font size than normal. Condition is about fine with thinning and toning to muzzle and backstrap. High edgewear to forward portion of frame and sideplates. Grips with light to moderate flattening. Good action and bore. Toggle does not hold open on empty magazine. Est.: $1,200-$1,800. (C&R/PPT)
