Very fine mid-19th C. cut glass and sterling silver claret jug. This lovely claret jug has a repousse sterling top and handle and a swirled cut and polished glass bottom. Claret pitcher measures 7" tall to top of handle and 7 3/4" tall to top of finial. The base diameter is 5 1/2". There is a slight indentation on the handle (see photo), otherwise excellent condition. Hallmarks on silver include a Minerva Head and another with a swan, a "D", and a "1". Circa 1850.
