Early French Phonograph by Cie Francaise du Gramophone, Paris (label) with horn. Great oak base with red baize working turntable, gadrooned edge, engaged columns, carved leaf design around bottom and egg and dart molded side panels. Japanned metal bracket holds brass playing arm and witch's hat horn. Some modification (three plugged holes on one side). Rust on horn mount, horn has pressure crack on body and one inch 'tear' along rim. Base is 8.5" tall and 13" square. Horn is 22.5" long and 12.5" in diameter.
