There is corrosion on the surface, but the design is visible and includes depressed carvings under the surface with character marks in the flat areas. The tsuba is signed near the opening for the blade (nakago ana).Dimensions: 3.2 X 3.2" (8 cm.). Estimated market value: $2500. Provenance: Dr. Veleanu's collection, the author of the collectors' reference book: "Antique swords and daggers".
