Offered for sale is an Early Edison Standard Phonograph. This antique complete model B wax cylinder phonograph player was the last Edison produced to have a swing out endgate. This later model is complete with the attachment rod, which is exceptionally rare. The front states "Trade Mark Thomas A Edison" as well has Edison on front of the oak box. The player is inside a beautiful oak box. The Edison Phonograph Company was formed on October 8, 1887, to market Edison's machine. He introduced the Improved Phonograph by May of 1888, shortly followed by the Perfected Phonograph. This phonograph most likely dates after Thomas Edison brought back is idea in 1894. Included in the lot are two stranded size cylinders. This piece is made even more rare as it is fully operational. The overall condition of the piece is good. Measures: ( Set up) 31" H x 32" W x 10" D
