Early Colt Model 1911 commercial .45 ACP caliber semiautomatic pistol in fine to excellent original condition with its original to the period cardboard box serial number C5273. A factory shipment verified byphone as shipped to Van Camp Hardware & Iron Co. Indianapolis, Indiana shipped December 2, 1913 with 5 guns in shipment and assembled in shipping room November 19, 1913. This stunning 1911 shows 98% to 99% plus originalhigh polish blue finish with just a hint of loss and very slight scratches and beginning light normal age. The grips are fine to excellent. The small parts and screws retain most of their fire blue. A two tone lanyardbottom early mag. in like near mint condition is included. This Colt pistol shows all correct early features markings and parts. The box is inscribed in the lid, “purchased about 1913 from Harold Macy’s father” withsome other information above it which we cannot quite read. The box retains an early and correct label and also there is an early government model factory pamphlet and instruction sheet. The box is in very good
