Early Colt Model 1911 U.S. Army Semi-Automatic Pistol
Manufactured in 1913. The left side of the frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and the "WPC" inspector mark is marked above the magazine release button and the right side has the serial number. The left side of the slide is marked with the two line, two block patent dates and Hartford address, with the circled Rampant Colt behind the slide serrations. The right side of the slide is marked "MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY". Fitted with checkered grips and a lanyard staple on the butt. Complete with a correct two-tone magazine.

Condition: Very good overall. The slide retains over 90% original blue, strong on sides, thinning over top with a small area of pitting on left side at the ejection port. The rear sight has been changed to a flat top and barrel is a commercial replacement. Frame retains about 85% strong original blue finish, mostly on sides with the grip straps a smooth mottled blue/gray patina. Grips show moderate wear with crisp checkering. Magazine retains 70% original blue finish. Mechanics are fine. All the markings are clear.
