Early Colt Government Model semi-auto pistol, .45 cal., 5” barrel, blue finish, checkered wood grips, #C115289 in excellent condition showing little use or handling; approx. 99%+ original bright blue finish with sharp markings, crispaction, excellent bore and minty grips; two tone magazine; the serial number places manufacture date of this Government Model around 1919. This outstanding pistol is accompanied by a correct brown covered cardboard box in overall goodcondition showing some creasing, internal repairs and a sectional loss to the rear right base and corner cover sections; with white “GOVERNMENT MODEL.” end label on lid and blue end label on base of box marked “Colt Automatic Pistol.Rimless Smokeless .45” with “115289” penciled on underside of box which contains two advertising labels inside, one for Colt’s revolvers inside lid and one for medallion pearl and ivory grips on the floor of the base of thebox; also an extra two tone magazine, special instructions sheet and Government Model Instructions folder is included.
