Early Colt Dragoon flask with triangular rings showing lacquered body and replaced top and spring. The body of flask shows 40-60% original darkened lacquer, one large ding at bottom left, and one slash-type indention at top of flags, with a few other dents evident at top that have been straightened and the top has been period-changed to a shotgun-type charger with spring by American Flask & Cap Co. This interesting Colt flask was found with a model 1855 Root shotgun. Formerly of the Charles DuPont collection. Est: $400 - $800
