Early Colt #3 Derringer with high hammer and curved grip. Serial number 14795. The barrel retains approximately 30% to 50% original blue drifting to patina with some minor erosion and pinprick pitting just starting.The frame is a light natural patina. The grips are good with 30% to 50% varnish and some mottling and aging to the varnish. The hammer shows considerable case hardening. There is some bright blue where protected.The markings are good and the bore shows a few pits. The breech end of the barrel shows no abuse from improper closing. A very nice early #3 Colt.
