Produced in 1861. German silver blade front and hammer notch rear sights, with the one line New York address on the barrel, "COLTS/ PATENT" on the left side of the frame, and the Texas Navy scene on the cylinder. Matching numbers on the barrel, frame, wedge, grip straps and cylinder, with single letter inspection marks on several parts. Smooth one-piece grips with a cartouche on the left side.
BBL: 8 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 44 percussion
Finish: blue/ casehardened
Grips: walnut
Serial Number: 25049
Condition: Fine, with 30% of the original blue and casehardened finish overall, mixed with a brown and gray patina, and showing dents and small areas of pitting. Grip is fine with a faint cartouche and sharp bottom edges. The grip strap is bent forward slightly, thus misaligning fit slightly. The brass is an attractive mustard yellow color. Half-cock notch is missing, otherwise mechanically very good.
