Early Cigar Store Mercantile Cabinet 19th-20th c.
This piece is a fantastic example of late 1800's - early 1900's craftsmanship in the form of a large oak mercantile cabinet, used to display and hold stock for a cigar shop. The cabinet features twelve doors with excellent spring loaded brass turn and pull handles. The top three main cabinets swing open to reveal original glass backing and six shelves adjusted with nocks and shims. Below that are three display cabinets that swing open top to bottom with a heavy spring loaded hinges. Behind the cubby holes lies enough storage space for multiple cigar humidors or boxes. This large mercantile cabinet measures to 76" wide, 20" deep, and 89" tall. Overall, the cabinet is in good condition, missing only small pieces of trim and a few dents and splinters.
