Early Brown Bess style flintlock musket with lock marked Moore and dated 1728 with 44 ½” barrel in .75 caliber with East India Company markings on rear portion of lock. The musket shows a good-quality reconversion using an original flintlock hammer. The metal surfaces show some pitting and erosion and some coloration where browned when converted. The stocks have been lightly refreshed and are slightly undersized against the metal but generally good. A rare example of the very early Brown Bess style musket that are extremely hard to find in any condition. Est.: $1,500-$3,000.
