Early Beligian Browning superposed 12ga shotgun, European model, with two sets of barrels, fancy two-piece forends, fully checkered, single trigger, auto-ejectors, European style tight scroll and floralengraved, hand-filed ventilated rib, long tang, round knob, serial #81589, in early Browning luggage type case. Barrel #1 measures 30”, and is choked approx. “Full” over “Improved Modified”. Barrel #2 isapprox. 26-1/2” and choked “Improved Modified” over “Improved Cylinder”. Both barrels are serial numbered to match. The guns show fine European quality throughout and the gun has been expertly refinished,probably in Europe and 98-99% of this finish remains. The barrels show some use and need cleaning. The stock has also been refreshed professionally and shows a nice satin finish with crisp checkering. The stock measures13-3/4” to the end of the wood, 14-3/4” to the end of the hard-rubber recoil pad. It is interesting that the barrel stamps are hand-held and not roll die impressed.
