This is an early American Fontiersmen fur trade era trade axe spiked tomahawk with folding saw toothed blade. The 19th century piece shows a wonderful bone handle with forged iron construction. The piece has vine etched work along the frame and is in excellent presentation condition. No markings can be found. The axe is 10"L with a 4 5/8"L head. The saw blade is 7.25"L. Overall with the saw blade the piece is 16 7/8"L.
