Hailling from the Ohio area.Exceptional Early American hanging pie safe in original paint of " cerulean blue" surrounded by hand punched tin squares, each in a circular sunburst pattern.
Single door opens up in front to reveal internal shelving available.Poplar top and shelves, Oak framing with mortice and tenon and pegged joinery.Hanging pie safes were hung from ceilling hooks and chains to provide extra protection from varmits for the weekly store of baked goods.
