Possibly, a Shoenhut doll, c. 1900 with moveable arms and legs.
The limbs are strung with elastic inside the body. The invention
of moveable limbs represented an entirely new direction for toys
and dolls. It must have been a huge leap from stationary dolls
to the new dimension of being able to manipulate limbs. It
made for endless possibilities.
CONDITION: Excellent. All
original costume and vivid paint. DIMENSIONS: 7" h x
3"w .
Anyone interested in the mechanical history of dolls, or
