Early 19th century British Naval small sword with boxlock pistol attached. The sword measures 22-3/4” overall with 17-7/8” blade. The pistol portion measures 5-1/4” with 2” octagon barrel of approx. .36 caliber smoothbore. The body of the pistol is cast bronze and shows a large folding trigger and British proofs on bottom of breech. There is no maker’s name or markings. The pistol is simply attached by two screws drilled through the reverse side of the blade and the brass body is nicely engraved with stands of arms and naval anchor.
