Early 19th century Americans silver hilted officer’s sword with ebony grip showing quality construction and wide curved blade. The sword measures 36” overall with 30 ½” blade that measures nearly 1 ½” from the edge across. The blade shows scattered light to moderate pitting and erosion and a dark brown patina. The ebony grip shows a split but is still good and original. The silver hilt is in good to very good condition with well-defined Eagle head that is not rubbed out. This is a fine quality sword and has a Philadelphia look. Est.: $1,250-$2,500.
