Early 19th Century Mounted Officer's Saber with Scabbard
Mounted officer's saber with gilded brass knuckle bow lagrets and downturned guillion. The wooden, grooved grip is leather wrapped. The saber has an English, 30-inch, single fuller blade. The blade is decorated with gold washed patriotic etchings on a niter blue panel with feathered ends. The panel extends about half the length of the blade. The saber is complete with a black leather scabbard with brass, gold-plated drag, suspension bands and rings.

Very good, with some scattered age discoloration on the bright section on the blade. About 20% of the niter blue and gold grip wire is present. The grip wire is missing. The brass has a mellow pan color. The scabbard is in fine condition.
