<B>Early 1970's Nate Archibald Game Worn Jersey.</B></I> At six feet tall on a good day, and tipping the scale at one hundred fifty pounds, the speedy little point guard out of the University of Texas El Paso came by his nickname of "Tiny" quite honestly. But with talents in inverse proportion to his stature, Archibald earned both a well-deserved Hall of Fame nod in 1991, and inclusion within the even more exclusive brotherhood of "The NBA's Fifty Greatest Players" as announced at the 1997 NBA All-Star Game. This home white knit gamer dates from Archibald's early years with the former Cincinnati Royals franchise, though clearly after he was named team captain, as we encounter the resultant "C" high on the right chest above the blue and red tackle twill "Kings 10" identifiers. Verso demonstrates the franchise's offbeat practice of placing player name beneath the rear numeral, an unorthodox variation that further elevates the desirability of this tough superstar representation. The "Rawlings" manufacturer/size labeling in the tail has been lost, but the jersey measures to approximately size 38, proper for the diminutive great. Washing instructions tag still holds on by a few threads. Solid wear suggests season-long usage.
