Early 1930's Jim Bottomley Signed Burke Photograph. Soulful portrait of this St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Famer could only be the work of celebrated baseball lensman George Burke, whose photography serves as history's greatest visual documentation of Depression-era baseball. Here his artwork is made more appealing still with the addition of a vintage fountain pen autograph from the subject. It appears that Sunny Jim began the letter "J" with black ink and then switched to blue for the remainder after the black pen offered poor service. The joint result is still quite impressive, rating a conservative 8/10 in boldness. The 2.5x4" photo exhibits no noteworthy condition flaws. A tough Hall of Fame autograph, particularly on such a desirable medium. LOA from PSA/DNA.
