Early 1910's Tris Speaker Decal Bat. The young Boston Red Sox star was considered a contender for Cobb's throne at the time his image appeared on the barrel of this Hillerich & Bradsby 40 T.S. bat. Of course we don't need to explain how the vast majority of decal bats were essentially destroyed by use in sandlots, wearing away the elegantly rendered artwork of the decals until nothing remained. Here we find a happy exception to that rule, as the decal remains 85% intact, with most of the wear outside the vignette that holds Speaker's portrait. The lumber of the wood shows some wear as well, but overall the bat presents beautifully, far better than all but a tiny handful of competitors. Length is thirty-four inches, but the appeal is immeasurable.

Shipping: Bats, Clubs, Sticks, Swords, Rif (view shipping information)
