Early 1900s Navajo Wearing Blanket
Property being sold is not new! Dents, dings, scratches and other damage may be present—and is common—on used and vintage items. Items are available for preview well in advance of the auction and we take several pictures as well. Please inspect thoroughly PRIOR to bidding. Once auctioneer says “SOLD” Buyer assumes all responsibility for items.
For your consideration we offer this early 1900s Navajo wearing blanket from the late transitional period. It is a unique size that can be doubled over when worn (and the patterns line up like they should) or it can be laid out flat and is a nice size to use on a bed. It features a banded pattern with accent designs and uses natural wool coloring along with hand-dyed black and different shades of oranges. This is a gorgeous piece with minimal staining and use showing and it would make a great addition to your collection!  Maker: Unknown Navajo weaver. Approx. Age: Early 1900s. Size: 75 inches wide X 86 inches long.  Condition: Pretty good for its age, some wear and staining expected. Please look closely at the pictures - they are an important part of our description. Shipping: There will be a $10 handling / packaging fee for shipping this lot. The actual cost of postage will be added on top of that. BUY IT NOW: If you would like to buy this item now without waiting for the auction to end (this option is only available up to 48 hours before the auction starts to close), the “Buy it Now” price is the high estimate of this lot. If you would like to end the auction early and pay the high estimate (plus applicable fees), please contact us by phone or email and reference this lot number.
