Offered for your bidding pleasure is this Early 1900's SpeedBall Pen Tip Nib Display Case. In 1899, C. Howard Hunt formed his own company and established it in Camden, New Jersey. The "Speedball" pen was developed and patented by sign letterer Ross F. George of Seattle. This pen had a square-tipped pen could make broad and thin lines. Speedball is an American company that manufactures art materials and other stationery items. This display case would have been used as a mercantile display to showcase Speedball pen nib's. The box shows an Oak construction with a glass display lid that hinges open to access the product. Each cubby is labeled with a metal label differentiating between each size of pen tip. At the top of the case there are four circular cut outs which is where the ink would have been displayed for purchase. This piece shows excellent condition. It measures 5 1/2" tall, 15" long and 9" wide.
