Included in this lot we have a early 20th century worn machete with a Plains Indian style parfleche sheath originating from the late 1900's. The machete displays an worn iron blade with a wooden handle set with three pins. The sheath displays rawhide construction with three silver conchos each showing horse hair tassels. One side of the sheath is painted with red, blue, and white horizontal stripes with the other side displaying red and white circles with a blue background. The piece shows fair condition overall with the machete showing wear due to age and use. The machete measures 20 1/2" long with a 14" long blade and the sheath measuring 19" long.
