After the painting by Jocob Ferdinand Voet.  Presented in an ivory colored folio, ready for framing, with a handwritten description. Beautiful portrait of a 17thc Italian lady of the court. Hortense Mancini, Duchesse de Mazarin ( 6 June 1646 – 2 July 1699 ), was a niece of Cardinal Mazarin, chief minister of France, and a mistress of Charles II King of England, Scotland and Ireland. She was the fourth of the five famous Mancini sisters, who along with two of their female Martinozzi cousins, were known at the court of King  Louis XIV of France, as the Mazerinettes. She became a favorite at the court of Charles II & well known for her love affairs. She was one of the first women in France to put her memoirs into print. * The last photo shows the famous Duchess with two of her sisters. Â
