The lot features a set of hard sole Indian hide moccasins with a keyhole US Flag Patriotic beadwork from the Northern Cheyenne dating to the early-to-mid-1900's. The set is a young man or large child's set showing Indian tanned hide with sinew sewing having hard parfleche rawhide sole bottoms. The fronts show an iconic keyhole pattern with U.S. patriotic flags on the inside in red white and blue / stars and strips. The moccasins are both sinew and thread sewn and show old glass trade seed beads. The beads show colors of greasy light blue, cobalt, dark red, greasy green, black and butterscotch yellow. These are a nice early Indian Reservation era set that saw very little use and are well preserved. Each measures 7.25-inches long sole by 2 5/8-inches wide by 3-inches high ankle.
