For your consideration is this brass serving trade dipper shown from the early 1900's. These dippers traditionally were used for serving water or other liquids from a barrel at camp for miners, cowboys, and labor camps such as on railroads. This serving dipper shows a hand forged handle of cast iron wrapped in rawhide and attached to a brass cup. The handle shows some oxidation denoting age however the piece is in good overall condition. The measurements of this trade dipper are 4" x 6 1/2" x 21 1/2".
