This is a French Regence style, whitewashed double console with a faux marble top from the early 1800's. The frieze of this console is richly ornamented with openwork designs and central masks surrounded by C scrolls and trailing foliage. The curved legs are serpentince stretchers are adorned with acanthus leaves on patterned backgrounds, which terminate upon carved paws.

There is some chipping of the paint and the top was added at a later date. This is a rare size to find, especially in the condition it's in.
