Large-size Millefiore beads showing a variety of patterns visible at the ends. Period One (14th-15th C.), which coincides with the beginnings of European exploration around the tip of Africa. However it is more likely that the Phoenicians took these eastward, and found that India gave them enough in trade so that they never reached further. Then India traded them into Assam (aka Nagaland) where they have been found in the 20th C. by traders and travelers. Uncleaned and "as found" - but restrung on stronger silk cord. Very scarce elsewhere in the world. 19-1/2" before you add your choice of clasp.
