Earliest Known James Naismith Autograph, 1885. Small hardcover volume entitled "The Constitution and Procedure of the Presbyterian Church in Canada" offers a 10/10 black ink inscription on the blank opening page. It reads, "1885, Oct. 19th, Montreal, M. J. MacLeod, J. Naismith." One must assume that MacLeod was the twenty-three year old Naismith's professor. This rare keepsake from Naismith's theology schooling shows expected wear, though the important autograph remains unaffected. LOA from PSA/DNA.
