The lot features an exceptional original Charles & Ray Eames Herman Miller Lounge Chair and Ottoman from circa 1960-1970. The chair is marked on the bottom with the manf. Tag, “Herman Miller Inc. Zeeland, Michigan Herman Miller”. The chair was designed by Charles and Ray Eames for the Herman Miller furniture company in 1956 after many years of designing. The lot features the Eames Lounge 670 and Ottoman 671 from Herman Miller Inc. The chair features the classic rare black tufted leather with molded Brazilian Rosewood plywood having polished and enameled aluminum hardware. The chair is considered the great creation from the Mid-Century Modern period and still today is one of the most sought after lounge chairs. Marked with the round Herman Miller sticker and rectangular tag. The chair shows a well preserved good condition. These chairs have sold for as much as $8000-$10,000 in this configuration. New Herman Miller Lounge Ottoman 670-671 chairs sell for $4,935.00 (this is an original chair from circa 1960-1970 worth considerably more).
