They were probably produced in 1954 or 1955 in order to circumvent the prohibition on gold ownership. This silver ingot has a fineness not found in nature, and there was no advantage in producing dore bars of 999 fineness. The top side reads: 999 / FINE / VALUE / $7.27 / Eagle Mining imprint. The short top side reads: SILVER. The back side reads: OZS. 5.64 / NO. 362.
