(1885 - 1972) American poet, editor and critic and a major influence on Joyce, Eliot, Hemingway and Frost. A typically abrasive T.L.S. signed with initials "E. P." on his personal letterhead, 1p. 4to., Rapallo, Mar. 10, 1929, to Helen Bramble, editor of Forum: A Magazine of Controversy, whom he addresses as: "H. M. Bramber". In full: "All right. And now you run around and see Mr E. G. Rich (of Curtis Brown) 116 W. 39th. and get his opinion re/best way of improving the tone of yr. magazine and enlightening the murkn peepul [American people]". Pound's disgust for American culture and cultural artifacts needs no further elaboration! Top corner lost, chipping to edges, overall good condition.
