SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 10393. Bbl. 3 5/8". 1 of less than approx. 1,000 Model IIIA (including Model III production) semi-automatic pistols mfg. by Menz. The left side of the slide is marked "MFNZ P&B PIST CAL. 765./ MOD. III. A". Right side of the frame, slide, and bbl. exhibit a Crown/N commercial nitro proof. Left side of the rear trigger guard web is stamped "H". Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, with the safety lever exhibiting a vibrant plum appearance. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered mottled brown synthetic grips, with each grip featuring an encircled "AM" monogram enclosed by a laurel type wreath. Slide features a grooved matte rib, loaded chamber indicator, fixed blade front sight, and fixed U-notch rear sight. Slide matches the frame via "93" on the interior. This example is listed by S# on Unblinking Eye by Ed Buffaloe. MAGS: 1 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unmarked, custom made brown leather holster. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, showing streaks/areas of wear and thinning fading to gray patina (primarily on the slide and grip straps) with scattered spots of light surface oxidation present overall. Near mirror bore, exhibiting a few spots of light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Action functions appropriately when cycled by hand. Grips show light to mild smoothing and some scattered marks from handling and storage. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting wear, scattered handling marks, and spots of discoloration, but otherwise remaining sturdy and serviceable.
