ENGRAVED "1 OF 51" ON TRIGGER GUARD. Cal. 20 Ga.,3". S# 400-13503. Standard target configuration w/ 26" fixed choke bbls. w/ side ribs & ventilated top rib. Right side of monobloc is stamped "SKEET" & "SKEET". Standard stainless steel action w/ single selective trigger has Ruger markings on bottom. Trigger guard bow engraved "1 of 51". Capped pistol grip stock is of lightly figured American walnut & measures 14 1/4" over red Ruger pad. Full skeet forend matches well. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original white cardboard box w/ end label for this shotgun, containing instruction manual. Letter from Sturm Ruger & Co. indicating that this gun is "1 of 51" of the "first preproduction experimental group of 20 ga. stainless steel o/u shotguns." "These were originally produced & boxed in 1979. In January of 1985, a decision was made by the management" "to sell these units to employees & friends of the company." CONDITION: very fine w/ evidence of limited firing. Bbls. retaining over 95% blue w/ chatter marks from firing on sides under forearm. Breech face shows extractor wear. There are only the faintest handling marks in all external surfaces. Box is fine, lightly soiled. (20-1651/MGM75). MODERN. $1,500-3,000.
