EXHIBIT SUPPLY DONKEY GOLD MINE REPLICA.
During the 1920s Exhibit Supply manufactured many interesting and unique arcade machines, the Donkey Gold Mine being one of them (original examples are few and far between). The original purpose was to vend a golden token thus machines of this nature were placed in what we politely call tourist traps. Often times, even today we see those machines in location that will turn your penny into a token at venues such as Pikes Peak, Statue of Liberty, Disney World, etc. This particular machine featured the donkey and his cart coming out of the gold mine. As the donkey makes his way about the landscape, suddenly he dumps the golden token into a chute with the patron retrieving as a favorite keepsake. A visually attractive machine, even a blind man would be enthralled by its operation. This model was replicated many years ago by Steve Gronowski and a small limited quantity were made. Completely functional and at the moment working without a coin. SIZE: Height to top of marquee 83". 28" w x 22" d. CONDITION: Overall excellent finish lacking back enclosure to machine. 1-13205
