EDISON. This, likely unpublished, photograph measures 5 3/8" x 6 1/4" and is mounted to a card measuring 9 3/4" x 11 1/4". The photograph depicts Edison holding a baby, possibly while seated outside, with an early motor vehicle in the background. The card is boldly signed just below the photograph, " Thos A Edison . ". Edison was born in 1847 and died in 1931. He was one of America's most famous inventors and businessmen. He invented scores of devices for use in the motion picture industry, sound recording, mass communications and of course electric power generation. He is credited with the invention of the phonograph, motion picture camera and an early version of the electric lightbulb. CONDITION: photograph itself is undamaged and remains clear.
