<B>EXCELLENT DINOSAUR TOOTH WITH ROOT</B></I><BR> <I>Camarasaurus supremus<BR>Jurassic, Tithonian stage<BR>Bone Cabin Quarry, Morrison Formation, Wyoming</B></I><BR>One of the most famous fossil quarries in the U.S.A., Bone Cabin has yielded some of the most spectacular discoveries to date. So-named for a local shepherd's hut built entirely from fossil bones, it was first properly explored at the end of the nineteenth century, and extensively excavated for seven years over the turn of the century. It proved an excellent source for remains of this 60 foot sauropod whose sturdy, spatula-shaped teeth suggest that it was comfortable eating coarser vegetation than some of its cousins, such as the slender-toothed diplodocus.
